Our last event of the 2021 GSA Colloquium, brings together the Chair of the GSA, Dr Alison Hulme (Northampton University) and Dr Jill Timms (University of Surrey). The session will provide some opportunity to reflect back over the course of our events, and to address the key theme of resilience.

Each of our speakers will consider the concept of community in diverse ways, from relating to the bonds we develop with each other through conviviality and friendship, to the loyalty we establish with companies through consumerism and lifestyle. After these initial presentations, the floor will be open for discussion, questions and wider reflections on the themes of the GSA series.

We will also welcome your input to our plans for the future and particularly on potential events for 2022. We hope you will join the online community of those interested in global studies that we are part of, and please do promote the event with your networks.
