Dr Rafal Soborski is Professor of International Politics at Richmond: The American International University in London. He has taught extensively in areas of global studies and international politics and has published many articles and chapters on globalization, ideology, social movements and green political thought. His first monograph, Ideology in a Global Age: Continuity and Change, was published in 2013 by Palgrave Macmillan. His most recent book is Ideology and the Future of Progressive Social Movements (Rowman & Littlefield International 2018). He is the editor of The Journal of Interdisciplinary Global Studies.

Rafal has been a member of GSA UK since 2003 and GSA North America since 2006 and presented papers at several GSA conferences. In 2018 he became a member of the GSA UK Committee and helped to organize its 2018 conference at the University of Northampton, convening one of its main thematic sessions (Globalization and ideology).
